Resisting the Design – Meritocracy is the true opposition
Meritokratias is my pen name. Has anyone wondered why? Why must we examine all the Designs and schemes by the New World Order? What can we even do about it? I hold answers. But it is not something you, dear readers, will instantly get. I hope we all arrive there eventually.
If the Left and Right are controlled oppositions, then the logic would make sense that to resist the framing, we have to find a way that is not controlled. What manner of control are we even talking about apart from controlling the flow of ideas? Are we only enslaved by thoughts alone? I regret to tell you that it is also related to how our economy, and therefore power, is structured.
What is power? Power is the measure of control over wanted resources. It means it is a measure of both how much you own and how much your resources are needed by someone in the “market”. There is no natural power structure that grants power in the natural way that is pleasing to gods, spirits and men alike. Power is defined and controlled by manipulating demand. The principle of economy has this simple notion:
- Value = Demand / Supply
As we are free to pursue our artisanship and work, it is not usual to control supplies (but some strategic resources are controlled), while the Demand is easily manipulated as long as someone controls the media. And this defines power. Money as a transaction unit is powerful because it is neutral or normalised, so that using money you can get any resource there is in the market as long as you pay for the premium due to high demand or low supply.
Because money is this neutral and powerful, it grants power to the Capitalists. The Capitalists can outperform any enterprise of any merit of talent just from the market scaling. It creates the Capitalist market – where ownership of more money simply becomes more powerful and this is uncontested.
Meritocracy challenges this idea. It is a very idealistic thinking that all it asks is to have fair competitions among the business competitors so that people who perform better in the artisanship, service, or production quality should ideally be rewarded and come on top in the climb. Capitalism thus snap it in the face – by simply having a stronger backing, certain market strategies will be able to drown out competition completely, where skills and quality will have no place to shine.
Are we leftists then? No. The leftists have the issue on the completely opposite side. Let’s pretend the primal rage of destruction in Communism doesn’t exist for a while. The leftist approaches simply wish to reward choice minority groups without regards to whether these members are truly talented and capable.
Meritocracy is nothing truly ideal actually. It is almost natural to human nature, while both Left and Right ideas are twisting of such nature. My favourite historical example is how the Berliner Philharmoniker (Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra) did their blinded auditions back then. Traditionally musicians were viewed as a very masculine job and the male musicians had an inclination to not want to recruit female players. To solve this issue, the orchestra employed the blinded auditions – the identity of the musicians were not known by the panel and the skills of the players were only judged by merits alone. There were no quota for a specific number of female musicians to fulfill. Everything was just meritocratic. Why has it turned archaic for the modern society? If true equity must be the aim, shouldn’t we employ blinded auditions in every discipline of wor?
Why is meritocracy human nature? Because it is natural selection – that there being no outside intervention, and may the better man win. What is happening in left and right politics is that both sides are trying the exact opposite – artificial selection. The left artificially pick the disenfranchised, the untalented, the weak, the victims, the ones who require aid and the ones who can never become independent. The right artificially pick the entrenched aristocracy, capitalists, elites, wealthy, educated in prestigous schools and those who have simply inherited fortunes from the last generation.
And in the end, it is Darwin against the Design.
And can we fight against the system? Yes. It feels overwhelming because you are thinking that you want to do the part of half the human population over decades on one single day. But in reality it is not as hopeless. If you are committed to embrace meritocracy, you will feel the changes in time.
First, we build a home of meritocracy. Then we build a town of meritocracy. Then we build a city of meritocracy. And soon we will discover the cities of meritocracy will win out the intentionally underperforming artificial selections.
