Introducing the One-on-One Mentorship Program

At DOVC, we are deeply committed to making significant contributions to the community and cultivating meaningful connections among families from various backgrounds. In pursuit of this mission, we are pleased to announce the initiation of our  One-on-One Mentorship Program , which is intended to facilitate cultural exchange and provide support for the integration of Hong Kong BNO families residing in the UK.

First Launch in Glasgow

We are pleased to commence this program in Glasgow on May 19, hosted at the delightful C Cafe. This event has been made possible through the generous support of THE HONG KONG SCOTS CIC, whose commitment to community development aligns seamlessly with the objectives of our program. During this inaugural dinner, four Hong Kong BNO families will be matched with four local UK families to partake in a meal, engage in dialogue, and exchange cultural insights. The evening is anticipated to be characterised by warmth, laughter, and the beginnings of enduring friendships.

Second Round in Nottingham

Subsequent to the successful launch in Glasgow, we shall maintain the momentum with our second round in Nottingham on June 10, to be held at Ramen Hassaku. We express our sincere gratitude to HKNOTTS CIC for their invaluable assistance in facilitating this event. This gathering will once more serve to connect families from Hong Kong with local residents, providing an opportunity for participants to indulge in exquisite cuisine while engaging in the exploration of one another’s backgrounds and traditions.

Why Join the Mentorship Program?

The One-on-One Mentorship Program offers an incredible opportunity for participants to:

– Build meaningful connections with families from different cultural backgrounds.

– Enhance understanding and appreciation of diverse customs.

– Enjoy delightful dining experiences at local restaurants, supporting the community economy.

– Create lasting friendships that transcend cultural barriers.

By engaging in this initiative, whether as a new resident of Hong Kong or as a member of a local family, you contribute to fostering a positive community spirit that promotes collaboration and integration.

Get Involved

We extend an invitation for you to participate in this enriching journey of cultural exchange and mentorship. Should you express interest in attending the forthcoming dinners, we kindly request you to remain attentive for registration details. Together, let us strive to effectuate positive change within our community, celebrate our diversity, and promote understanding among all families.
